About Us

At Tailored Strands our aim is to supply the highest quality alpaca yarns for your knitting pleasure. As a designer and passionate knitter myself, the unmistakable feel of alpaca yarn has spurred me on to continue to provide others with this same knitting pleasure.

Tailored Strands has a strong commitment to  the Australian alpaca industry and as such only uses Australian alpacas fleeces in our alpaca yarns.

All throughout my life I have been using textiles and natural fibres and producing inspiring creations. The childhood love of knitting has evolved into a passion and my love of alpacas created the perfect union here.

Having been producing commercial yarns now for nearly a decade, our Tailored Strands colours are beautifully crafted... blending together so you can be confident of the luxurious feel and outstanding quality of any garment or creative project you might think up.
