The Legacy of the Lindsays
In spite of the Lindsay Family being born and growing up in Creswick, there are no homes or studios left for posterity in their hometown. In fact Mary, the last member surviving of the family, had the family home demolished, as a part of her will.
In essence the community of Creswick has been left with a "blank canvas", by the Lindsays', to move forward with the legacy provided to us, with their works of art and notoriety.
The Legacy of the Lindsays' Festival is the second ten-day festival, held in Creswick, celebrating the life and influence of the Lindsay family of artists and writers on our town.
With over 30 activities covering exhibitions, children's activities, dinners, "Evening's with ...", sporting activities and more you and your family can immerse yourselves in all that is on offer over the Easter school holiday period here in Creswick.
