"A Living History"
Magic Pudding Playground

The Playground is based around the characters and events of the Norman Lindsay book "The Magic Pudding" and is being constructed in conjunction with the Hepburn Shire Council.
The playground will be at the site of the present APEX Park at the cnr of Napier and Raglan Streets which is currently run down and lacks a variety of play equipment.
The idea of a Magic Pudding Playground gained momentum when a number of parents combined and wrote to newspapers and council about the neglected state of the park.
The first components will be the boat Salt Junk Sarah, and Bunyip Blue Gum's tree house, modified for disabled access and meeting playground regulations.

A grant was received from Sport & Recreation Victoria to assist with the works.
Copyright permission on the Magic Pudding elements of the playground is currently being sought. Hepburn Shire Council acted as project managers for the stage of this important community project.
