Creswick - Lawrence Road
In days of rough, unmade roads, transport was difficult and needed access between towns, mining areas and farms. The Birchs' Creek Gorge was bridged in 1898 - 1900 with construction of this Monash and Anderson concrete bridge with two arches and stone piers. Like the similar Fyansford Bridge near Geelong, Wheeler's Bridge has suffered distress because movement of the spandrel walls, and is limited to light vehicles.
