Honour Roll and Historical Society
The Creswick & District Historical Society meet every 4th Thursday of each month (except January) at the Senior Citizens Rooms in Water Street, Creswick at 2.00pm. You are welcome to join our group.
For further information please contact Hon Sec. Mrs Marilyn Lennox on phone 5334 7980.
One of our main projects each year is the Creswick Honour Roll. Nominations are called for to recognise people who have made a significant contribution to the community of Creswick and District. Only those who are deceased are considered and when chosen are presented at an annual dinner held in May at the Creswick Town Hall. Nomination forms can be obtained from the Hon.Sec or from the Creswick Visitor Information Centre. Nominations need to be entered by the end of September each year.
At the Annual Dinner on Friday May 24th 2019 three more names were added to the Creswick Civic Honour Roll. Joe Dean, John Riordan and Marie Whitfield. These are listed alphabetically by surname.
